BRAWLEY POLICE MAKE SECOND ARREST IN HOMICIDE CASE

While conducting comprehensive follow up investigation into the homicide of a 5-year-old that occurred on January 8, 2026, it was determined that the child’s mother, Leia Lentz was also a person connected to the death of her son. Members of the Brawley Investigations Team thoroughly examined evidence leading up to the death of the child and dertermined there was probable cause to arrest Lentz for charges related to the murder. Ultimately, Lentz was taken into custody on February 11, 2026 at approximately 3:55 p.m.
