We strive to respond swiftly to animal-related concerns, uphold the laws pertaining to animal welfare, and work diligently to reunite lost pets with their families. By leveraging our partnership with the police department, education, technology, enforcement and community support, we aim to provide a safe, compassionate, and effective service that respects the lives of all citizens and animals in our jurisdiction.

Tuesday - Friday 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
CLOSED Sunday and Monday

Fees must be paid at the Brawley Police Department before your pet can be released to you.

Trap Rental
$35.00 per week

Cat Trap Rental still available. You will be responsible to rehome or relocate cat/kittens.

$70.00 2nd Offense
$140.00 3rd and Each Additional Offense

**$50.00 Additional Fee for Unvaccinated Animal

Boarding
$25.00 per day (Max. of 5 days)

Dog License (Must have proof of Rabies Vac.)

$40.00 Not Spayed/Neutered

Quarantine
$210.00 - 10 days w/proof of Rabies Vac. Or

$270 - 14 days w/o proof of Rabies Vac.

Dead Animal Pick-up

For service requests, which have no fees listed in this Master Fee Schedule, the City Manager or his/her designee shall determine the appropriate fee based on the following hourly rates for staff time involved in the service or activity:

Animal Control Officer (per hour) $97

This bill prohibits a public animal control agency or humane society shelter from releasing a dog or cat to an owner seeking to reclaim it, or adopting out, selling, or giving away a dog or cat to a new owner, unless the dog or cat is or will be microchipped.
