The purpose of the public hearing will be to hear comments from the public regarding the following subject:

Planning Director Conditional Use Permit (CUP) #25-01 is for the restoration of a disused caretaker’s residence on the second floor of Brawley Self Storage. Caretaker’s residences are not permitted by right in light manufacturing (M-1) zones, but are conditionally permitted subject to approval by the Planning Director. Caretaker’s residences encourage on-site security, customer assistance, and other duties for businesses by providing housing to employees and their families on the same property as an established commercial or industrial use. The proposed caretaker’s residence is for one employee and his/her family.
