About
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for providing legal guidance and support to elected City officials, City Departments, and boards and commissions. The City Attorney's responsibilities ensure that city governance is conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, protecting the city and its residents from legal risks and liabilities.
Offering legal opinions and advice to ensure that city operations comply with the law.
Acts on behalf of the city in courts and administrative bodies to protect its interests.
Enforces the city's municipal code by prosecuting code violations.
Performing other legal services as required or authorized by the City Council or City Manager.
