The Finance Department’s mission and day-to-day activities cover a wide range of functions for the City of Brawley. The Finance Department’s customers include members of the public and all departments within the City. A necessary function of the organization is to impose structure and control on a variety of procedures, such as budget, utility billing, accounts payable, payroll, grants management and information processing.

Our person-to-person customer service and multiple payment options are a very important aspect of the City of Brawley’s way of doing business. Most issues can be handled right over the phone by calling Customer Service during regular business hours at (760) 344-1550. You can also send your request by email to utilitydepartment@brawley-ca.org.
Due to the lack of space and the inabilty to provide social distancing, the customer lobby remains closed. Customers are encouraged to go online to access and pay their utility account.
AFTER HOURS UTILITY EMERGENCY SERVICES
After-hours emergency customer assistance is directed through our Police Department by calling (760) 344-2111. The Brawley Police Department has the ability to dispatch service water crews if deemed necessary; however, they do not have access to any customer account information. After hour service reconnections are available after-hours during the week and Friday through Sunday at a rate of $50.00 per call out.
